Children’s Director – The River Church

As the Children’s director at The River Church at the MDI campus, she is passionate about nurturing young hearts in faith and creating engaging environments for kids to encounter Jesus. Carrie is deeply grateful to be part of this vibrant community.

Originally from Grand Falls, Carrie felt God’s call to leave everything behind and fully commit to serving Him. This led Carrie to Faith Bible College in the United States, where she completed the Cornerstone program. It was there that Carrie met her husband, Shanon, and they were married on October 10, 2018.

After college, God opened doors for Carrie and Shanon to move to Canada, where they ministered together, focusing on raising up leaders in ministry. Carrie served as the children’s ministries coordinator there for over a year and volunteered for three years across various church departments, stepping in wherever the Lord needed her. In total, they served faithfully for four and a half years before sensing it was time to step into the next chapter God had prepared.

Through a true miracle, God brought Carrie and Shanon to The River Church, where Carrie is excited to continue pouring into the lives of children and families, helping them grow in their relationship with Christ.
