Senior Pastor – The River Church
Jody Patterson, along with his wife Nancy—married since 1995—carries a strong call to church planting and preparing the nations for revival. Born and raised in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada, Jody first met Nancy as a teenager at Whited Bible Camp. Years later, they were married and began building a life devoted to family, ministry, and Kingdom impact. Together they have one daughter, Kalee, who, alongside her husband Josh, serves faithfully at The River.
In 2012, Jody and Nancy pioneered their first church in the village of Bar Harbor. In 2018, they established their second church, The River, and in 2024, they answered the call to “rebuild the altars” by launching The River Stonington. Their heart continues to burn for church planting and for seeing the presence of God transform communities and regions.
Known to many as a spiritual father, Jody has a deep passion for discipleship, raising upleaders, and equipping the body of Christ to walk in their true identity as sons and daughters of God. His vision is to see God’s Kingdom advance, people set free, and entire regions transformed by the power and presence of God.
Alongside his pastoral ministry, Jody is also a builder and owner-operator of two local businesses. This background gives him a unique perspective on building—not only in the natural, but also in the spiritual—with a desire to see strong foundations laid in lives, families and communities.
Jody is the founder and apostolic covering of Kingdom Redeemer’s Network, a shepherding movement that provides spiritual covering and support for pastors and ministries. In 2024, Kingdom Redeemer’s Network became the spiritual covering for The Restoration Home, a men’s recovery ministry, where Jody also serves as chair of the board.
When not ministering or building, Jody enjoys spending time with family and friends at his “favorite office” on George’s Pond, often joined by his two energetic Jack Russells, Petey and Acadia. He also loves hiking and traveling, especially when it allows him to connect with others and share the hope of the Kingdom.
