Associate Pastor – The River Church

Shanon Benadict serves as the Associate Pastor at The River Church’s MDI campus, where he oversees worship and media. Having been with The River for just over three months, Shanon expresses deep gratitude for the opportunity to witness God’s powerful work within this vibrant community.

Originally from Mysuru, India, Shanon grew up as a pastor’s son, with faith deeply rooted in his upbringing. Initially pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, he believed that was his calling until God redirected his path. Shanon followed this calling to Faith Bible College in the U.S., where he earned a bachelor’s degree in pastoral theology. During his time there, he met his wife, Carrie, from Canada, and they married on October 10, 2018, embarking on a remarkable journey together.

After college, Shanon and Carrie moved to Canada, where he served as a worship and youth pastor for four and a half years. During this time, he was ordained and experienced a season of growth and transformation, witnessing lives changed through his ministry. When God stirred their hearts for a new chapter, Shanon and Carrie followed His lead to The River Church MDI.

Shanon is passionate about creating worship experiences that bring people closer to God, teaching His Word, and fostering a community where everyone feels like family.

Shanon and Carrie are excited to be part of The River Church and eagerly anticipate what God has in store. He looks forward to worshiping, growing, and pursuing God’s purpose alongside the church community.
